JU Vocal Ensemble wishes all a Merry Christmas on Swedish television

Jönköping University's own vocal ensemble, JUVE, has been invited to participate as a “home choir” on Swedish television (SVT) before the Christmas holidays. For three days you can listen to and watch the choir from the comfort of your TV sofa.

Earlier this autumn, Choir leader Dan Boberg got a request from SVT that JUVE could do a test recording with their new technology. Dan hoped that they would want to use the recording in the TV program Hemmakören (Home choir).

“SVT were so happy with the recording that we were also invited to the main recording itself. We do not appear in a traditional choir line-up, but as individuals in boxes on the screen in the studio, that is the whole point,” says Dan Boberg, choir leader for JUVE.

With the project Hemmakören, SVT offers singing for all, at home, at Christmas time.

“Anyone can sing along. Go to SVTplay and you will have instructions there on how to follow along,” says Dan Boberg.

Welcome to watch and to be part of SVT1 where JUVE participates in three programs:
21-23 December at 19.00.
