About the programme:
In today’s rapidly changing and dynamic global markets, competitive advantage hinges on the effective management of an organisation’s operations in interconnected supply chains. As consumption continues to increase and products are often transported over lengthy distances, sustainable solutions are key in supply chain operations. Those who can effectively manage, renew and digitise these processes will be in high demand in the international labour market.
This interdisciplinary programme allows you to develop in-depth skills in supply chain operations management by integrating supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, and work organisation. Throughout the programme, you will gain the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to manage, design and develop sustainable operations within integrated systems for the networked delivery of products and services. You will gain practical experience in developing all parts of the supply chain, sustainability and digitalization as key themes.
The education includes projects that address real-world problems in various industries. Several courses feature study visits and guest lecturers from industry professionals. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner universities.
After graduation
Upon graduation, you will be well-prepared to lead supply chain operations and optimise production systems in global industries. You will have extensive knowledge of future business practices and supply chains, enabling you to navigate sustainable, complex, digitalized, and global distribution systems. Potential career paths include operations manager, industrial engineer or supply chain manager.
After graduation, you are eligible to apply for the PhD programme at JTH, as well as many other PhD programmes worldwide.

Work life contact
A substantial part of the studies is done as projects addressing real industrial problems in different types of organizations. Several courses include field trips and guest speakers from the industry to further strengthen the link between education and practice.
The third semester offers the opportunity to follow an elective research track where the student combines an industrial placement with participation in a senior research project.
Study abroad
The second year provides a unique opportunity for the students to tailor their own specific competence profile by taking elective courses at our international campuses or partner universities. JU and the School of Engineering collaborates with several partner universities and offer a number of international campuses.
