Henrik Flodhammar, a former teacher and Ph.D. Candidate at Jönköping University, shares his experience from an 18-year project of natural forest regeneration in Panama as well as information on the latest developments on how apps can be used – by us and local activities - to protect the environment and monitor tree growth on a global scale.

Henrik has worked for the United Nations and SIDA, as well as with NGOs and the private sector on sustainable forestry for the last 20 years. This work has included wildlife conservation of rhinos and elephants in Asia, as well as the ongoing exciting work of forest regeneration in Panama - last year a jaguar was spotted in the regenerated forest!

Henrik will also share some tips on how to survive if you get lost in the jungle!
