MMTC Affiliate, Jasmine Lihua Liu

MMTC is pleased to welcome Jasmine Lihua-Liu as an affiliated researcher.

Jasmine has for many years been a senior lecturer at Shanghai Dianji University in business studies focusing on marketing. Jasmine is trained in business administration (bachelor level) and applied psychology (master level) and she holds a Ph.D. degree in Innovation Sciences (from Halmstad University, 2019)

In 2014 – 2015 she conducted a large-scale business model innovation project with the Chinese Goldwind in service and maintenance. In her Ph.D. research, she explored the development of the Chinese wind power industry from it's inception to becoming the largest in the world, in just a few years. This project focused on business model innovation projects and tailor-made a new business model for Goldwind to support the company's journey in the global arena. She has been working with Swedish wind power companies as well.

The theoretical contribution of her Ph.D. dissertation is the development of a symbiotic business model in which politics, institutions and industry, through an experimental and collaborative approach, established, developed, and shaped the new industry.

This approach will be further developed in the forthcoming projects:

Sweden-China Academic Bridge project, 2020-2022

The idea of the Sweden-China Academic Bridge project is to establish and develop an academic knowledge-sharing platform between Sweden and China in order to explore the development of integrated electrical vehicles and electrification of transportation systems with social and societal development of integrated intelligent technology.

This project is funded by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket, TRV), and is a collaborative project between Halmstad University, Jönköping International Business School, and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI).

Welcome to MMTC, Jasmine!
