  • Students compete in innovation for health and well-being


    About 150 students participated in the Impact Challenge competition at Jönköping University (JU) 25-27 September. The task was to develop and present the best business idea in the field of health and well-being. The winners were rewarded with a prize cheque of SEK 15,000 from the Growth Foundation (Tillväxtstiftelsen).

  • JU attended international conference in Toulouse


    On 17-20 September, Jönköping University (JU) participated in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference in Toulouse, France. This year's theme, En Route, means on the way and characterized seminars and workshops. Next year, JU is one of the hosts when EAIE takes place in Gothenburg 9-12 September with the theme GO-Create .

  • Sleep deprivation in young people a growing problem

  • Visit from LUT University


    Representatives from Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT University) in Finland visited Jönköping University (JU) today. The purpose was to discuss existing and future collaborations within EULiST to facilitate and create long-term synergies. Both JU President Måns Svensson and LUT President Juha-Matti Saksa expressed their hopes for a long-term and enriching co-operation.

  • Record number of international students


    International student at JU. This August, Jönköping University (JU) welcomed about 3 800 new students to campus. Among them, approximately 1145 international students arrived from around the world, the highest number ever for JU. The university’s commitment to internationalization and academic excellence ensures that JU remains a top choice for students seeking a global education experience.

  • Start for Swedish Institute's international scholarship holders


    Isatou Sowe, Sergio Navarro och Hong Mai Nguyen Sixteen international scholarship holders who have been awarded the Swedish Institute's (SI) Scholarship for Global Professionals have now started their Master's programmes at Jönköping University (JU). The students all have in common that they want to contribute to sustainable development in their home countries and that they are very excited about starting their studies.

  • Focus on children’s language development


    Utbildningen i aulan In December 2022, approximately 160 language educators, first preschool teachers, principals, special educators and other key staff at Jönköping Municipality started the education “Language and Knowledge Development Approaches in Preschool” at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU). On Wednesday 11 September, a final education day and conclusion of the education were held.

  • Congratulations to our Alumni of the Year


    Salem Seifeddine For the fourth year in a row, Jönköping University (JU) will give out the Alumni of the Year award during a ceremony held on Thursday 3 October. Executive Vice President Salem Seifeddine, together with a representative from each school, will hand out awards to the five Alumni of the Year 2024. The winners are revealed today.

  • Suicide Prevention Week kicks off at the School of Health and Welfare

The day contained lectures from researchers at JU and various guest speakers from Student Health Services, Jönköping Municipality and the Emergency Services, on topics of how they work with and are affected by suicide prevention in different ways. In Jönköping County, the whole week is dedicated to suicide prevention through various activities.

  • JIBS rises higher on the Financial Times Masters in Management ranking


    For the fourth consecutive year, Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) takes an upward climb on the prestigious Financial Times (FT) ranking of Masters in Management programmes. This year, JIBS has advanced three more places, securing the 61st spot globally. The school received high marks for its performance in salary outcomes, career progression, and value for money.
