The Department of Clinical Diagnostics (AKD) conducts education and research related to the natural sciences in health care.

Education

AKD provides training in diagnostic methods for health care. We train future specialists in medical diagnostics. Our activities are characterized by close collaboration with healthcare, a strong research focus and continuous development work to ensure high quality in education.

Research

Research at AKD is conducted in close contact with clinical activities and in collaboration with national and international universities. Research is conducted in the following areas/projects: immunology, molecular biology, clinical microbiology and radiology. The research is coordinated through the research environment Studies on Integrated Health and Welfare (SIHW).
