Overview

This program is designed for creative minds who are passionate about developing new products and improving existing ones. You will learn to visualise and evaluate concepts using advanced design tools and prototype-building techniques, ensuring your designs are innovative, practical, and manufacturable.

 

You will engage in various projects and assignments enabling you to apply and practice industrial design tools, such as sketching, surface modeling, and rendering. You will also learn about graphic design and visual communications, and how to present your ideas and create compelling design stories.

 

Collaborating with leading companies, you will work on real-world design projects, gaining valuable experience and expanding your professional portfolio. The program emphasises sustainability, inclusiveness, and ergonomic design, teaching you to create user-friendly, socially responsible products.

 

After completing the program, you will be qualified for roles as an industrial designer or design engineer. You will be able to analyse and optimise product designs to ensure they are producible with conventional techniques, meet user needs, and maintain aesthetic appeal. Requirements: The applicant must hold the minimum of a bachelor’s degree (i.e the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) with at least 90 credits in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, industrial design, product development, innovation, production engineering or industrial engineering or equivalent. The bachelor’s degree should comprise a minimum of 15 credits in mathematics. Proof of English proficiency is required.
