Biography

Samer was born in Lebanon in 1979. He was six years old when he moved to Sweden with his parents and older brother due to the civil war in Lebanon. Jönköping is his hometown since then and it still is. Today he is married and has three kids that occupy most of his time when not working. He lives in a semidetached house in Hovslätt (the southern part of Jönköping).

He studied architectural engineering at the School of Engineering in Jönköping 2000 to 2003. After graduating, he started working as an HVAC consultant thanks to an internship during his studies. He took a liking to the complexity of the HVAC industry. Even today, Samer is passionate about what creates the conditions for us to have a good indoor climate from all conceivable aspects with an environmental focus in mind.

Experience 

Between 2003 and 2017, Samer worked as a consultant with traditional HVAC engineering, and design, where the projects have been of a large mixed nature, ranging from single-family houses, and multi-family houses to hospitals. He has had different roles such as HVAC-designer, project leader and manager for his colleagues but also part of the board in the company he used to work at.

In parallel with this, as a consultant, Samer has also worked towards educational centers, such as the School of Engineering in Jönköping and Vocational Campus Värnamo. There he has been trusted to hold courses that include energy and HVAC technology but also create a broad knowledge for the students within the construction process and how our properties work with its complex technical systems.

During the autumn of 2017, he was offered to work full-time at the School of Engineering and never hesitated to accept the offer. Today he is responsible for various courses which involved both processes in the design phase but also production phase.
