"The area I will focus my research on is the relational competence of preschool teachers. Specifically, I am interested in studying the interactions between teachers and the youngest children who have just started preschool.

My focus extends to the challenge posed by children's lack of understanding of the Swedish language and the cultural nuances of body language in the new preschool environment, where they will spend their daily routines in the coming years. I am keen to understand how preschool relational competence manifests in these personal meetings with non-lingual children who encounter Swedish culture and language primarily when they start preschool."
