<p>Experience innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit up close at the Grand Final of the JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge 2026. Welcome to an inspiring live event, open to everyone with an interest in future ideas, problem?solving, and entrepreneurship.</p><p>From 27&ndash;29 April, students from J&ouml;nk&ouml;ping University come together to take part in the <a href="https://ju.se/en/collaboration/events-and-conferences/events/jibs-entrepreneurship-challenge.html">JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge</a> &ndash; an intensive 24?hour innovation competition where ideas are developed, tested, and refined under time pressure. The competition offers a total prize pool of SEK 150,000.</p><p>The challenge begins with a secret company or organisation presenting a real?world challenge from its operations. Student teams are then given 24 hours to develop an innovative solution and prepare a compelling pitch. On the final day, 29 April, the teams present their ideas to a jury. <p><strong>MMTC Seminar with guest Monica Porzionato</strong></p><p><strong>Title:</strong>&nbsp;Based on ongoing research on affect, strategic communication, and social media influencing</p><p>In this presentation, Monica will explore how affect and affective atmospheres have been approached in marketing and organisation&nbsp;studies, as well as how these theories can inform and reshape approaches to strategic communication theory and practice. Drawing on insights from her doctoral research, ongoing publications and the INFLU-NORD project, she will elaborate on how affect thinking can deepen our understanding of communication as a means of sustaining common orientations, attachments and forms of collective life.</p><p><strong>About the speaker:</strong><br />Monica Porzionato is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Management, Society and Communication, Copenhagen Business School. She holds a PhD in Media and Communication Studies from Lund University (2025), where her dissertation was awarded Best PhD Thesis in the Humanities and Social Sciences by the Royal Society of Sciences in Lund. Her research focuses on affect in media and communication, with particular attention to climate change communication and the role of social media in shaping collective orientations.</p>

<p>The ninth edition of the Swedish Conference in Economics will take place at J&ouml;nk&ouml;ping International Business School on 20&ndash;21 November 2026.<br />The Swedish Economic Association organises the conference in collaboration with the Department of Economics, Finance and Statistics at J&ouml;nk&ouml;ping International Business School, J&ouml;nk&ouml;ping University.</p><p>The conference welcomes submissions in all fields of economics and is open to researchers at all career stages &ndash; from PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to senior scholars. The programme will feature a mix of shorter and longer presentations.</p><p>The conference is free of charge. Partial funding for travel and accommodation is available.
