Several former JU students nominated for Young Female Leader of the Year award

Among the 20 nominees for the Young Female Leader of the Year award 2020 in Jönköping County we find eight former students from Jönköping University (JU).

From the beginning, there were 120 young women nominated in Jönköping County and 20 of them made the list now presented. All of them are born between 1985 and 1994 and are active in the business sector, private sector or in organisations.

Two of the nominees who have studied at Jönköping University are Ajnur Bilibani who has a degree in social work from the School of Health and Welfare and Julia Alfelt who has a degree in Product Development and Design from the School of Engineering.

Ajnur Bilibani is a unit manager within the Home care services in Jönköping municipality. The jury for the Young Female Leader of the Year emphasizes that she coaches her coworkers through their own strengths and that her leadership is characterized by positivity, solution-focus and a great commitment.

Julia Alfelt is a product manager at Swedestyle in Vaggeryd. She is described as having developed a leadership style that has motivated her employees to become involved in the common company vision. Her commitment, passion and ability to build team spirit are success factors that characterize her leadership, according to the jury's motivation.

During the Young Female Leader of the Year award ceremony 4 March of the nominees will win the title Young Female Leader of the Year and one of them will receive the award for Young Board Talent of the Year.

The purpose of the Young Female Leader of the Year is to highlight female role models who can inspire others to become the leaders of the future. Young Female Leader of the Year is run by Science Park and the Jönköping County Chamber of Commerce. JU is a proud sponsor of the project and JU’s President Agneta Marell is a member of the jury.
