Competence provision is a crucial, strategic issue for most industry sectors in society and the metal industry is no exception. This webinar will provide you with an international outlook of the competence provision state, structure and challenges in the metal industry, as well as insights into how the industry can strengthen its position from within.

Preliminary findings and best practices will be shared from an ongoing research project focusing on identifying and developing concrete activities and measures that drive development towards a secure supply of skills in the metal industry. The project applies a multidisciplinary and action-oriented approach in collaboration with industry organizations and companies. We ask ourselves what obstacles of critical importance the organizations face in the work with their competence supply and how they can be understood and handled in practice.
