Forskning

Lilly Augustine kom till Högskolan för lärande och kommunikation i augusti 2018 men var då inte ny för JU. Hon har haft ett långt samarbete med forskargruppen CHILD och har även arbetat tidigare vid Hälsohögskolan vid JU. Med ett vitt intresse i flera olika områden, som oftast kopplar an till fungerande och mående för barn och unga, har hon studerat delaktighet i skola och omsorg. Frågor om psykisk hälsa och hälsovanor, samt mobbning innebär att en tvärvetenskaplig ansats från individ till samhälle. 

 

Biografi

Lilly är utbildad beteendevetare vid Mälardalens högskola och disputerade 2006 vid Karolinska Institutet med avhandlingen Participation and disability: A study of participation in school for children and youth with disabilities. I avhandlingen tittade hon på begreppet delaktighet hur detta definierades av olika aktörer, samt hur delaktighet och faktorer relaterade till delaktighet såg ut för barn med och utan funktionshinder. Både i avhandlingen och senare har hon intresserat sig för klassifikationen ICF och användandet av detta i forskningen. Lilly blev docent i disability research 2020. 

Innan Lilly kom till Högskolan för lärande och kommunikation arbetade hon som lektor i psykologi vid Högskolan Kristianstad, där kom hon att undervisa främst inom utveckling och hälsa. Innan dess arbetade hon som biträdande lektor inom socialt arbete vid Hälsohögskolan i Jönköping, där undervisning främst handlade om psykologi samt socionomprogrammet. Efter disputationen arbetade hon vid Folkhälsoinstitutet (nuvarande folkhälsomyndigheten) med frågor rörande psykisk hälsa och uppföljningar rörande barn och ungdomars hälsa och levnadsvanor, mellan 2007-2013 var hon svensk koordinator för skolbarns hälsovanor och arbetade även under 2009-2010 som projektledare vid Folkhälsomyndigheten för rapportering av totalundersökningen av skolbarns psykiska hälsa i 6an och 9an. Arbetet vid Folkhälsomyndigheten involverade även arbeten med litteraturöversikter inom området psykisk hälsa samt skola. Något hon sedan fortsatt med, senast med fokus på funktionsnedsättningar, mobbning och psykisk ohälsa.
