Undervisningen bedrivs på engelska.The aim of this course is to provide a general understanding of the Swedish economy and how economic theory helps explain different aspects of the Swedish economic development. The course covers a wide range of topics such as the labour market, the industrial structure, international trade and economic growth in Sweden.

- Industrialization process in Sweden in the late 19th century
- Discussing economic growth from a theoretical as well as from an empirical perspective
- Other aspects of the industry, such as geographical distribution, ownership structure
- Macro perspectives of the economy
