Andreas Jansson

Associate Professor


Andreas Jansson is Associate Professor in accounting and corporate governance at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and member of the Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO). Andreas joined JIBS in 2020. He obtained his PhD with a thesis about coalition formation among minority shareholders at in 2007 at Växjö University.

His research primarily concerns how institutional norms and logics shape the development and ways of functioning of financial accounting and corporate governance, with a particular interest in how different ownership categories are affected. He also conducts research regarding the role of reputation and the media in corporate governance, and how changes in accounting norms affect accounting users. Moreover, he is interested on long-term change of financial accounting regulation and practices, ownership structure, and the mechanisms shaping controlling shareholder behavior.
