During the last 30 years of the last century some south east Asian countries developed rapidly to become new economic giants. South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong became the Asian Tigers. Today 7 of the fastest growing economies are sub Saharan countries according to IMF. The Asian Tigers have become the African Lions.

JIBS collaborations with five leading sub-Saharan African Universities place JIBS researchers in the midst of the world’s most rapid economic growth. What could be a more inspiring environment to create new knowledge? The lion blog will bring you the stories from JIBS collaborations in Africa. Most welcomed!
