Product Development, Production and Design
The department of Product Development, Production and Design (PPD) conducts education and research in areas such as Product Development, Production Development and Industrial Design. We are approximately 35 employees and we have a strong engagement in the development of research and education within Industrial Product Development in collaboration which is a strategic area at Jönköping University. The head of department and deputy head of department as well as the associated department management team (DMT) have responsibilities for the department.

Industry Advisory Board
The industry advisory board is an important forum to ensure that the education programs at School of Engineering have a professional relevance, and that the business is run in a way that corresponds to the needs that exist inside and outside the university.
A major role of the industry advisory board is to follow up and initiate improvements in education and collaboration with a particular focus on the program education defined in syllabi and curriculum.
In the department of Product Development, Production and Design (PPD) the various industry advisory boards are composed of business representatives, teachers and students and are formally advisory to the program managers and head of department / deputy head of department. The different industry advisory boards at the department are:
- One single common industry advisory board for our 3-year Bachelor programs and 2-year Master programs given at campus in Jönköping.
- Separate industry advisory boards for each 2-year degree program located at our Värnamo and Nässjö nodes.

About us
SPARK is Jönköping University’s research and education environment focusing on knowledge intensive product realization. Based on industrial needs, SPARK develops new knowledge and competence in collaboration with industrial and academic partners.
Ledningsgrupp
Ledningsgruppen är ett viktigt forum för att säkerställa att utbildningarna vid Tekniska Högskolan har en yrkesmässig relevans, och att verksamheten drivs på ett sätt som motsvarar de behov som finns inom och utom högskolan.
Ledningsgruppen har till uppgift att följa upp och initiera förbättringar av utbildning, forskning och samverkan med ett särskilt fokus på programutbildningen definierad i utbildningsplaner och kursplaner.
På avdelningen Industriell produktutveckling, produktion och design finns en gemensam ledningsgrupp för de två högskoleingenjörsprogrammen Produktutveckling och design samt Industriell ekonomi och produktionsledning, tillsammans med masterprogrammen Produktutveckling och material, Produktionsutveckling och ledning samt industridesign, tillsammans med högskoleprogrammen för 3D-teknik samt produktutveckling med möbeldesign. Gruppen är sammansatt av näringslivsrepresentanter, lärare och studenter och är formellt ett rådgivande organ till programansvariga och avdelningschef.
