Erasmus+ scholarships for Blended Intensive Programmes

As a student at Jönköping University (JU), you can participate in a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) within Erasmus+ and apply for a scholarship. A blended mobility combines physical studies abroad with virtual components conducted online. Erasmus funding is granted only for the physical part of the mobility.

To apply for and be granted Erasmus funding for a short blended mobility (BIP) at JU, the following conditions must be met:

  • You must be nominated and admitted to a BIP course within the Erasmus programme
  • The course must be at least 3 ECTS and include both an on-site and a mandatory online component
  • You must be registered as a full-time student at JU and intend to complete your degree at JU
  • You must not receive any other EU-funded scholarship for the same period
  • The on-site mobility must last 5–30 days and be combined with the online component
  • You must complete a Learning Agreement and a Grant Agreement before the mobility
  • Your total Erasmus mobility at the same study level must not exceed 360 days
  • An OLS language test is required for mobilities of 14 days or longer
  • After the mobility, you must submit the EU Participant Survey and a Certificate of Attendance

Erasmus+ Scholarship

  • The Erasmus+ scholarship is based on the host country and the number of days for the physical mobility (5–30 days)
  • Funding is granted only for the physical part of the mobility.
    The grant also includes travel support

How much is the scholorship?

  • 79 EUR per day up to day 14
  • 56 EUR per day from day 15 (max. 30 days)
  • 309 EUR travel support (depending on the distance).

Payments

  • The full grant amount is paid before the start of the mobility, provided that a signed Grant Agreement and Learning Agreement have been submitted
  • If you apply for green travel support, you must submit relevant receipts to the International Office via the case management system.
  • If you cancel your exchange. You need to reimburse the scholarship amount already received.

Extra funding and top-ups

Erasmus application

  • You must apply to receive the Erasmus+ scholarship
  • Selected students receive instructions via their JU email
  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis
  • In the application, you provide your contact details, relevant information about your education. You also indicate whether you plan to travel green (green travel) and whether you are applying for special educational support. If you wish to apply for special educational support, you must contact the coordinators at Jönköping University (JU) responsible for special educational support for further guidance and assistance; sps@ju.se
  • After applying, you get a confirmation with next steps. You must submit required documents (Learning Agreement and Grant Agreement)

Learning Agreement

You must submit a Learning Agreement before departure or at the start of the course. This document specifies the courses or components you will complete at the host institution.

For the Learning Agreement to be valid, it must be signed by:

  • You (the student)
  • The International Office
  • The host institution

Grant Agreement

Once your Erasmus application has been processed, you will receive a Grant Agreement specifying your awarded grant.

You must:

  • Complete the agreement with your contact details and bank information
  • Read the agreement carefully
  • Sign and submit the Grant Agreement via the case management system

Erasmus+ Student Charter

  • You must read the Erasmus Student Charter, which outlines your rights and obligations as an Erasmus student.

Marketing Mission – Student Ambassador

  • When participating in JU mobility activities, such as a BIP course, a marketing assignment is included.
  • You will have access to JU’s Instagram account and are expected to share content such as personal reflections, posts, and photos during the programme.

Contact with the International Office

  • During your mobility, you can always contact the International Office for support or questions. Communication will primarily take place via your JU email account, so please check it regularly.
  • Any changes (e.g. withdrawal or shortened mobility period) must be reported immediately to International Office and to the teacher.

You must submit a Certificate of Attendance confirming the start and end dates of your mobility. It must be signed by you and the responsible coordinator at the host institution on the final day of the BIP course.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the document is correctly completed and signed
  • Submitting it via case management system (please choose case type "BIP").

The EU survey (participant report)

  • The survey from the EU commission will be sent to your JU mail (check even junk mail) on your final date of stay.
