Surprise fire drill for House A and B

On Thursday morning at around 10am, a practice fire drill was carried out at buildings A and B on campus.
“This morning’s practice alarm went very well,” says head caretaker Bo Ljunggren.

The fire alarm was sounded around 10am and staff and students from the two buildings were evacuated under 10 minutes. Those evacuated gathered in the designated evacuation area which was the parking lot outside House K.

“We are pleased with how things went,” says Bo Ljunggren. “There are a lot of people to evacuate from those two buildings, so to get everyone out in under 10 minutes is good. Now we will talk to the fire protection officers for these two buildings and get some feedback from them. This will help us see what improvements are needed.”
