Academic Calendar
The academic calendar can differ for the schools at JU, see the dates for each school below.
***Please note, for the autumn semester, even though the official end is in January, most courses end early, allowing students to return home towards the end of December.
For students eligible for the Erasmus scholarship through their home university, it is always the last date of an official activity on campus (not including re-exams) that should be used as the end date in your documentation, not the official end of the semester date. For the autumn semester, for most students this will be sometime in December, and for the spring semester this will usually be in June.

Courses run: 31 August 2026 - 17 January 2027

Students can return home before Christmas. There might be assignments to hand in online with deadlines up to 17 January 2027, which is the official end of the autumn semester.
