Finbesök på forskningsseminarium

Professor Theresa Raphael-Grimm från University of North Carolina besöker CHILD:s forskningsseminarium den 1 februari. Hon är författare till den välkända läroboken: The Art of Communication in Nursing and Healthcare: An interdisciplinary approach.

Forskningsseminariet äger rum den 1 februari kl. 13:00-15:00 i Hc320 vid Högskolan för lärande och kommunikation, JU.

Så här beskrivs Theresa Raphael-Grimm i UNC:s presentation på webben:
"Theresa Raphael-Grimm has over 30 years of experience as an advanced practice clinician and educator. Her primary clinical and research interests are in psychotherapy methods, the interface between belief systems and health behaviors, and inter-professional health care education. With a joint appointment in the Schools of Nursing and Medicine, she maintains an active clinical practice in individual and couples
psychotherapy via the Department of Psychiatry outpatient clinic.
She is the Associate Director of Psychotherapy Services within the School of Medicine’s Taking Care of Our Own Initiative. Her training in psychotherapy includes a master’s degree in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and her PhD work which focused on social-psychological theories and their application to interpersonal interactions in health care. She has also received formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, group therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
She is the author of the 2015 book: The Art of Communication in Nursing and Healthcare: An interdisciplinary approach."
