When can I study abroad?

Semester 4 is the semester when you have the possibility to study abroad.

What are my options abroad?

1) International Campus (IC): do your Industrial Placement course (IPC) at an assigned company abroad and study courses at one of JTH's partner universities in Thailand, Mexico or Vietnam (please be aware that changes to the offered countries may occur)

2) Traditional Exchange: do your Industrial Placement course (IPC) in Sweden during the summer after your exchange semester and study courses full-time at one of JTH's partner universities

It is not possible to participate in the exchange programme after year year 3.

2) International Campus (IC): do your Industrial Placement course (IPC - only) at an assigned company in Vietnam in collaboration with one of JTH's partner universities. Please be aware that you are only abroad during your IPC weeks. (semester 4)

3) Traditional Exchange: study courses full-time at one of JTH's partner universities. This option requires more time and effort from you to find suitable courses (semester 5)

Are there any alternative options abroad?

You may instead/also do your final project work in Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand or the United States (please be aware that changes to the offered countries may occur) through International Campus during semester 6. This option requires more time and effort from you to find suitable courses.

Students commencing their studies on this programme autumn 2019 and later do not have the option to do their final thesis abroad during semester 6. Students can maximum study two semesters abroad.

In the report BIM Education Global Pdf, 450.2 kB. you can read about where the BIM Education is to be found abroad. All of the universities mentioned in the report do not have an agreement with the School of Enigneering. If you want to take part of the exchange mobility it has to be an Partner university.
