Quality reports

The Quality Report (QR) and the various Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) are key components of quality work. The quality work takes place in the cycles that exist in the quality system and then provides quality assurance and quality development of research and education.

The quality work at JU includes, after each completed activity, a follow-up, analysis and development of quality improvement plans for both research and education. This is done by:

  • annual quality reports (QR) are produced for all research environments and all education programmes
  • annual quality development plans (QIPMILJÖ, QIPPROG) are produced for all research environments and educational programmes,
  • the quality development plans within each school are summarized in an overall development plan for the entire school's research and education (QIPFHS), and these form the basis for the school's operational plan,
  • an annual overall quality development plan based on the four QIPFHS is produced at JU level (QIPJU),
  • the overall quality development plan is fed back to the President and the Foundation Governing Board, thus completing the ultimate quality circle,
  • cyclical quality assessments of research environments and educational programs are carried out at five-year intervals and result in a Quality Assessment Report (QAR), and
  • the quality assurance work as a whole is coordinated within JU, and the quality system is evaluated and developed following dialogue and consultation between the Foundation Governing Board, the President and the Strategic Committees.

Starting point is JU's vision

The various components of the quality assurance work are linked to the university's overall planning and follow-up of activities.
